About OGRS

Ozark Garden Railway Society was offically formed in September 1999, joining a growing number of garden railway clubs worldwide. Our goal is to promote all aspects of large scale garden railroading and enhance members' enjoyment of the hobby. We meet the third Saturday of the month for sharing ideas, skills, and friendships. By pooling our resources, OGRS can provide a base of knowledge, experience and skills to encourage and assist members in their large scale garden railroading projects. You don't need a train to join OGRS. Several of our members are in the planning stages, gathering ideas and information before they start digging their right-of-way. Many members have operating layouts running large scale trains both outdoors and indoors.

Club functions include monthly meetings to share ideas, member led clinics and fellowship. Regular meetings, held the 3rd Saturday of the month, are hosted by club members in their homes, giving members a chance to enjoy the progress of each other's railroads. In order to promote the hobby, the club sponsors an annual tour of garden railroding homes. If you are interested in attending a meeting, contact our club president at denray4046@yahoo.com.
