A Great Train Day!

We want to thank everyone that visited the tour layouts on Saturday!  What a great day.  I believe the visitor count was over 300!  Thank you to the three tour hosts who opened their gardens and all those from the OGRS club that helped with the day.

We had several visitors that asked about the small trees that we have on our layout and I have included a link  to the Funtiques Market – Green Gallery in Ozark Missouri.  They have several “miniature” trees that work great in Garden train layouts and also in fairy gardens!   We also had a lot of questions regarding the difference between dwarf and miniature plants.   I found a great article at Two Green Thumbs website that explains it very well.

Don’t forget,
our June meeting date has been changed to June 13th.

We will be visiting 3 Layouts in the Mountain Home area.   We will meet at Fred and Marilyn’s “Rio Blanco” garden railroad at 10:00 a.m. and will go to Craig & Charlene’s “Keeps us Broke” garden railroad around noon.

We have received an invitation to visit Alan Arnold’s O-gauge layout after our meeting.  Directions to Alan’s will be made available at Craig and Charlene’s house.

Hope to see you all there!
